Application information for food vendors

There is an area reserved for food vendors where you can park your trailer/food truck. The area has attracted a lot of interest. For this reason, we are calling all vendors equally to apply to the food vendor’s area in the park. This change also makes it easier for us to organize the event. When making the selections, we will aim at providing the con visitors with a varied selection of foods. Thus, you should bring up your selling points in your application, as well as present a preliminary menu. Please, pay attention to the intended audience of our event.

Due to the change previously covered in our blog (Bulletin: A change in the taxation of Tracon), VAT at 25,5% will be added to the prices of the sales spots. Entrepreneurs can deduct the input VAT when submitting their VAT returns.

The application period begins: Sunday, April 5th, 2026 at 10.00 A.M. 

The application period ends: Sunday, April 26th, 2026 at 8 P.M.

After submitting your application form, you can view your responses on Kompassi.

Application results: by June.

• The registration announcement of your food business
• An announcement that has been made before starting the business
• Make an announcement of a food business or apply for an approval
• Informing the food control authority of the City of Tampere of your mobile food premises
•  How to inform the new locality of your mobile food premises
• We require this from all selected food vendors within 2 weeks after the end of the application period
• Liquefied petroleum gas cylinders
• Exact number of volumes and sizes (kg). No extra cylinders. All your LPG cylinders must be attached to your appliances.
• First extinguishing equipment
• Type of extinguishers (e.g. dry powder extinguisher, carbon dioxide extinguisher, fire blanket), classes (for example, ABC), sizes (kg), exact number of volumes
• Need for electricity (state the amount if necessary)
• Name of your stall (to be listed in the program etc.)
• Name of your legal person (i.e. the name of a company registered in the Trade Register, a registered association, a cooperative society, etc, can also be a natural person)
• Business ID
• Type of your temporary structure (tent, canopy, other?)
• Size of your temporary structure (in meters)
• Your vehicle (car, van, food truck, other?; registration number)
• Contact person (the person in charge of setting up your temporary structure)
• Your contact information (phone number and email)

Lacking documentation will result in a rejected application.

The price of one spot for a vehicle or a trailer.

Fri: 1 P.M. – 10 P.M.
Sat: 9 A.M. – 10 P.M.
Sun: 9 A.M. – 6.30 P.M.

• When you apply for a food vendor’s spot at Tracon, you commit to being present in the area for the entire event. The food vendors’ time for setup is on Thursday before the opening of the event. The disassembly will happen on Sunday. It is not possible to move your vehicle out of or into the area during the event. You may only drive your vehicle out after the closing of the convention.
• Preliminary setup time: on Thursday between 6 P.M. – 8 P.M.
• Preliminary disassembly time: on Sunday from 6 P.M. onwards.

We follow the guidelines on tent structures by the Finnish Chemicals and Safety Agency.
